Sgt. Peter Jones, 45th North Carolina

Ambrotype of Sergeant Peter Jones of Company I, 45th Regiment N.C. Troops. Sergeant Jones is wearing a slouch hat and a linsey-woolsey jacket with rank stripes and shoulder epaulets. The canteen is of the Union-style "bullseye" pattern. Written on the back of the ambrotype case is "Sergt. Peter Jones, taken in Raleigh Aug the 9th, '64. Sent to his sister Martha T. Jones."
